Biography
A graduate of La Jolla Country Day School (05), LaToya Cunningham was a decorated tri-sport athlete (cross-country, basketball, and track). During her tenure at LJCDS LaToya set track records that still hold today, and aided her lady Torrey basketball team to four Regional Titles and a State Championship. Upon her graduation, LaToya was named the San Diego Tribune's Player of the Year, and averaged 10.1 points, 6.6 rebounds and 2.8 steals per game. LaToya received a full athletic scholarship to the University of Miami where she was the Hurricanes’ go-to player after becoming a captain her sophomore year. LaToya was a top 3-point shooter for the Canes and often led the team in assists for multiple games. After graduating from Miami with a degree in Sports Administration, LaToya continued a professional career with Team Aibling (Germany) for the 2011-12 season. We are now happy to welcome LaToya to our coaching staff, as she brings great knowledge and passion for the game!
