4sight Academy Basketball - Fall 2023

Fall 2023 Tryout Information:

1. Team Information:

• Players: Girls Grades 5th - 8th
• Team: 14U (minimum of 7 players and maximum of 10 players) & 13U (dependent upon number of tryout participants)
• Duration: 12-Week Season
• Mission: Our mission is to prioritize skill deveopment - both tangible and intangible - which will prepare athletes for their middle school teams, high school sports, and ultimately, life outside of athletics. 

2. Practices:

• Fridays: 6:00PM - 8:00PM at Monarch School (9/8, 9/15, 9/22, 9/29, 10/6, 10/13, 10/27, 11/3, 11/10, 11/17) - 10 tentative dates
• Sundays: 6:00PM - 8:00PM at Monarch School (9/17, 9/24, 10/1, 10/8, 10/15, 11/5, 11/19) - 7 tentative dates

3. Games:

• SD Thrive League: Saturday or Sunday mornings at San Diego High Schools (often Francis Parker School or Canyon Crest Academy)
• Tournament #1: October 28 - 29 in San Diego, CA
• Tournament #2: November 11 - 12 in Orange, CA

4. About:

• Head Coach Sean Panado: Owner of 4sight Academy, 1 Year as Assistant Coach at the Academy of Our Lady of Peace, & Former Player at Saint Augustine High School
• Program History: In one year, we have had six players graduate. Three are playing at local community colleges (Grossmont, Palomar, and San Diego Mesa) and three are attending 4-year universities (Cal State Fullerton, Cal State LA, and Loyola University Chicago).

5. Timeline:

• August 27, 2023 & August 30, 2023: Day 1 & Day 2 of Tryouts
• August 31, 2023: Email Invitation to Join Program
• September 4, 2023: Deadline to Accept or Decline Invitation
• September 7, 2023: First Payment Due
• September 8, 2023: First Practice
